Celebrating 50 years of service, the Lindsay and District Chamber of Commerce, working with many of its partners and members, will launch into an exciting year of new and special events with a Community Conference in February.
The Chamber will be working closely with the Kawartha Lakes CFDC in developing and delivering the program for the Conference, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 7th and Wednesday February 8th in the Crombie Theatre of Fleming College in Lindsay. The Chamber would like to reach as large an audience as possible with information and opportunities that the membership, which is always growing, can use. This program also welcomes attendance from all local businesses throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes.
The plan is to provide the information in an informative, fast-paced style with some entertainment and refreshments as well. The goal of this event is for attendees to feel comfortable and also not to feel as if they will have ‘information overload’. Everyone that attends will receive a list of the web sites of all the organizations presenting and will be able to simply log-on and learn more about each organization.
The event takes place two times. The first one is on Tuesday afternoon from 5 – 7 pm at the Crombie Theatre, and then the program will be repeated on Wednesday morning, with those interested in the early start enjoying a similar agenda starting at 7:15 am and finishing at 9:00 am; again at the Crombie Theatre. The Chamber of Commerce and Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation want to provide both opportunities, as some businesses may find it more convenient to attend in the late afternoon, while others find a morning event works best with their schedule.
More information can be found at www.lindsaychamber.com or by calling the Chamber at 705-324-2393. If you wish to confirm a spot please call the Chamber, or confirm by email to jess@lindsaychamber.com. An exciting announcement will be made regarding the Chamber’s new Speaker’s Forum, so please make sure to attend. Come join us and find out what these local businesses can provide for you at the Community Conference on February 7th and 8th at Fleming College, in the Crombie Theatre.
