To help encourage residents of the City of Kawartha Lakes to Shop Locally, a new “Shop Locally Program” is kicking off. If you are a resident in the City of Kawartha Lakes you can use your card anywhere within the city that is a participating member.
Participating retailers will create promotions on an ongoing basis, whether it is weekly, monthly or seasonally. These promotions are in appreciation of shopping locally, and we encourage you to drop in regularly to check out the promotions.
Look for the ISHOPLOCALLY poster at participating retailers. Shop Locally Cards are now at local Chambers of Commerce and participating members of the program across the City of Kawartha Lakes. Bookmark this page for updates of participating businesses and other news about this exciting program.
By supporting businesses in the City of Kawartha Lakes, you keep our local economy growing, create employment, and fund important services such as education and health care.
When you shop in your community, you help:
The well-being of a community benefits when you shop locally. By supporting local businesses you help build strong neighbourhoods by sustaining communities and contributing to local charities.
By shopping close to home you save on the high cost of gas and enjoy a wide variety of unique specialty shops within the parameters of the City of Kawartha Lakes. These businesses are an integral part of the distinctive character of our area and by choosing to support local businesses you help maintain our city’s diversity and distinct flavour.
If you are a resident in the City of Kawartha Lakes you can pick up your cards at the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce, Bobcaygeon Chamber of Commerce, Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce or any of the participating members of the program. Click HERE for a list of participants.
