The Spring breakfast was reviewed with postive comments regarding the speaker, format and theme
-
Final details were confirmed for the golf tournament which is approaching on June 14th - it is sold out but there are still a couple of sponsorship opportunities available

The committee discussed methods of getting input from members and agreed to develop a short survey to use at the golf tournament in order to get additional feedback
April 2006

The Spring Breakfast was discussed and mugs are being ordered for the first 100 attendees.

Sponsorship is being handled by Gayle Jones and going well.

Evening of Excellence dates for 2007 being set but would like to hear from those in attendance about Friday night versus Saturday night.

Golf Tournament charities have been selected as MADD and Kawartha Lakes Crime Stoppers.

They will receive the proceeds from Beat the Pro, Putting Contest and Marshmellow drive.

The Blue Jays bus trip was also discussed and 55 tickets are available. Bus leaving Chamber at 3:45 on Friday.

Classics on Kent Car Show sponsorship issue was discussed at length and Don stated that all issues with the BIA have been resolved.

Friday there will be a drive in feature with a possible cruise night at the Drive In, Saturday is a poker rally and Cruise Night at the A&W with possible parade down Kent Street Saturday night and Sunday will be Brits in the Park and our own Show ‘n Shine.

Classics on Kent – A&W and BIA in discussion regarding a satisfactory name of event.

Downtown event BAH cancelled and June now at the Lilac Gardens with KLACC Business Social combined with our Business After Hours.

February 22 the Luncheon will feature Dennis DesRosiers from DesRosiers Automotive Consultants to speak on the current automotive industry market and Barry Devolin, M.P. / Laurie Scott, M.P.P. are being booked to speak at future luncheons.

AGM went well with new board being sworn in but attendance by members was low- if you have any ideas for next year, please let Don know.

Golf Tournament (Wed. June 14 at Oliver’s Nest) sponsorship levels were discussed and accepted. Other golf tournament event details were discussed during the meeting.

The new event Spring Breakfast was discussed and tentatively the guest speaker being booked is Bill Lishman and late April is the time of year they are looking at – further details to follow.
