Dear Members,

As promised back in May, we set out to visit - and listen to - local businesses over the summer. We had a great time, despite the rain! Thank you to all the owners who invited us to stop by during the busy season. Colleen, Board members and I met with some 27 Lindsay and area business over the past few months and signed up more than a dozen new members! Number of coffees consumed: 50+!

I am also pleased to report that the state of our Chamber is excellent. Building on past progress the Chamber has now completed its financial restructuring; held its very successful annual networking golf tournament; and continues to offer new products and services in areas of value to our Members.

It is an exciting time to be part of the Chamber community. See: "Now, more than ever, we're stronger together!" The Lindsay Advocate

On deck before Christmas, we have our Small Business Week Breakfast coming up on October 18th featuring Michelle Ferreri who will be speaking about social media and business. Our acclaimed  Master Class Morning Coffee Series continues until December. We continue to enhance our relationships with the Kawartha Lakes Small Business Entrepreneurship Centre, City Economic Development Department in Tourism & Downtown Revitalization and partnering with the other three Chambers; Fenelon Falls, Bobcageon and Coboconk/Norland. We will be renewing our Chamber's strategic plan in the coming weeks. We hope to be starting a Young Professionals Network here soon. Watch this space!

As always, please contact me or the Chamber office if you have any questions, would like more information, or want to get involved more with all that is taking place as we strive to help local businesses and increase community economic development.
