Volunteers are vital to the continued success of the Chamber of Commerce. The Board of Directors is elected by the membership and is the policy-making body of the Chamber of Commerce. Its members represent the business and professional leadership of the community of Lindsay & District. Its mandate is to set the overall direction of the Chamber in accordance with the Chamber’s by-laws.

Marlene Morrison Nicholls
Stewart Morrison Insurance Brokers Ltd

Marlene has built a solid track record of success over 38 years in the insurance industry. During this period she has earned an enviable reputation for her 'caring manner' and 'no nonsense' approach to business. Marlene is a passionate advocate for her clients and her community.  Throughout her career, she has supported a number of cultural, social, and professional organizations; she is on the Executive Committee for the Rotary Club of Lindsay and is an active member of all the Chambers of Commerce in the communities that she serves.  Her personal volunteer commitments and business sponsorships of community events and causes are significant.

Liz Parker
Homestead Oxygen & Medical Equipment

Treasurer of the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce and co-owner of Homestead Oxygen + Medical Equipment Inc., which has been a leader in Home Health Care since 1997.  Liz along with her husband, Kelly, pride themselves with the growth of the company and the support they give to the many organizations throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and surrounding areas.  Liz takes pride in the awards the business has received throughout the years.
Liz is also an active member of the Women of the Moose, is Moose Charities Chairman of Ontario for the fraternity and has been raising funds for the organization for more than 10 years.

Scott Robertson
Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes

Scott has been with the Boys and Girls Club for twenty-six enjoyable years in several capacities. Scott began his employment in 1990 as the Child and Youth Counselling Coordinator, became the Club’s Program Director in 1991 and was hired in 2001 as the Executive Director. Club programs serve over 8,000 children and youth annually through the provision of 120 – 150 recreational, social, and child care programs and services. Scott also acts as Executive Director of the Club’s Foundation, a separate entity which transfers over $240,000 annually to assist in the healthy development of local children and youth. Scott grew up in Coboconk and now lives in Peterborough with his wife Susan. Scott’s hobbies include golf, pool, reading and acting as trainer for the Peterborough Lakers Junior A and Major Series lacrosse teams. Scott earned a Minto Cup ring and three Mann Cup rings for being part of Canadian Championships in both Junior A and Major Series lacrosse.


Nicki Dedes
The Olympia Restaurant & Cafe

Nicki is the independent operator of a legendary downtown landmark, the Olympia Restaurant. She got there by following the footsteps of determined business leaders, inspired by their ethos and creativity. Now standing on the shoulders of giants, Nicki is determined to keep the Olympia story alive and relevant.  When she is not in the restaurant, Nicki spends her time volunteering for a number of organizations throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Matthew Maddox
Kawartha Lakes Pride

Matthew Maddox is one of LDCC's newest Board Members and Co-Founder of Kawartha Lakes Pride, who are responsible for the annual Pride Picnic in the Kawarthas. Matthew has a passion for social justice and has been integral in the launch of the LDCC Diversity Initiative.

Charles McDonald
The Grand Experience

In 2010, Charlie became the owner of The Grand Experience and Grand Pub, a 150 year old establishment in the heart of downtown Lindsay. Famous for its homemade pizza and wings, The Grand is the proud host to thousands of new and returning patrons every year and is the favourite hotspot for a lot of Lindsay's locals.  Born and raised in Lindsay, Charlie is involved with numerous community events and organizations.  As President of the Lindsay Downtown BIA, he is committed to the success and vitality of the downtown and has been a proud organizer of the annual Terry Fox Run for the past 28 years.

Dr. Katelyn Lockwood
Equilibrium Chiropractic & Wellness Centre

Dr. Katelyn Lockwood was born and raised in Lindsay Ontario, and after completing her post secondary education and receiving her doctorate of chiropractic, she returned to the area with her expertise in athlete care and concussion management.  Dr. Lockwood saw an area of care that was missing within our community and wanted to ensure that our small town community was receiving the same level of care as in big city centers. Although Dr. Lockwood is passionate about athlete and youth care, and concussion management she treats all demographics. She is an active member within the community both in volunteering and work and is a part of many local organizations, including but not limited to the Lindsay Jr. A. Muskies, Lindsay Girls Hockey Association, Central Ontario AAA Wolves, and Lindsay Rugby Club.
