Volunteers are vital to the continued success of the Chamber of Commerce. The Board of Directors is elected by the membership and is the policy-making body of the Chamber of Commerce. Its members represent the business and professional leadership of the community of Lindsay & District. Its mandate is to set the overall direction of the Chamber in accordance with the Chamber’s by-laws.

Throughout her career, she has supported a number of cultural, social, and professional organizations; she is on the Executive Committee for the Rotary Club of Lindsay and is an active member of all the Chambers of Commerce in the communities that she serves. Her personal volunteer commitments and business sponsorships of community events and causes are significant.

Treasurer of the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce and co-owner of Homestead Oxygen + Medical Equipment Inc., which has been a leader in Home Health Care since 1997. Liz along with her husband, Kelly, pride themselves with the growth of the company and the support they give to the many organizations throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and surrounding areas. Liz takes pride in the awards the business has received throughout the years. Liz is also an active member of the Women of the Moose, is Moose Charities Chairman of Ontario for the fraternity and has been raising funds for the organization for more than 10 years.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes
Scott has been with the Boys and Girls Club for twenty-six enjoyable years in several capacities. Scott began his employment in 1990 as the Child and Youth Counselling Coordinator, became the Club’s Program Director in 1991 and was hired in 2001 as the Executive Director. Club programs serve over 8,000 children and youth annually through the provision of 120 – 150 recreational, social, and child care programs and services. Scott also acts as Executive Director of the Club’s Foundation, a separate entity which transfers over $240,000 annually to assist in the healthy development of local children and youth. Scott grew up in Coboconk and now lives in Peterborough with his wife Susan. Scott’s hobbies include golf, pool, reading and acting as trainer for the Peterborough Lakers Junior A and Major Series lacrosse teams. Scott earned a Minto Cup ring and three Mann Cup rings for being part of Canadian Championships in both Junior A and Major Series lacrosse.

Bob Armstrong is a known national and international speaker, author, and expert on issues related to International Trade, Cross-Border Logistics, the Global Supply Chain, and Customs and Security issues. Bob is very active on the Board of Directors of the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation as Ontario government representative, Ontario Chamber of Commerce (Past-Chair), and Past National Chair, of Hong Kong Canada Business Association. Bob is currently the Vice-President on the Board of the Lindsay Golf and Country Club.

Nicki is the independent operator of a legendary downtown landmark, the Olympia Restaurant. She got there by following the footsteps of determined business leaders, inspired by their ethos and creativity. Now standing on the shoulders of giants, Nicki is determined to keep the Olympia story alive and relevant. When she is not in the restaurant, Nicki spends her time volunteering for a number of organizations throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Danielle French is the proprietor of South Pond Farms, a working farm in the hills of Bethany. The restored barn offers special events and gatherings of all kinds - farm to table dinners, weddings, workshop and business retreats. Danielle takes pleasure in authentic, simple, artisanal food and is continually inspired by life in the country.
Kawartha Lakes Pride
Matthew Maddox is one of LDCC's newest Board Members and Co-Founder of Kawartha Lakes Pride, who are responsible for the annual Pride Picnic in the Kawarthas. Matthew has a passion for social justice and has been integral in the launch of the LDCC Diversity Initiative.
The Grand Experience
In 2010, Charlie became the owner of The Grand Experience and Grand Pub, a 150 year old establishment in the heart of downtown Lindsay. Famous for its homemade pizza and wings, The Grand is the proud host to thousands of new and returning patrons every year and is the favourite hotspot for a lot of Lindsay's locals. Born and raised in Lindsay, Charlie is involved with numerous community events and organizations. As President of the Lindsay Downtown BIA, he is committed to the success and vitality of the downtown and has been a proud organizer of the annual Terry Fox Run for the past 28 years.
Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team
Mike Perry grew up in Fenelon Falls, where he served on the Board of the Fenelon Falls & District Chamber of Commerce years ago. Mike is currently Executive Director of the City of Kawartha Lakes Family Health Team which provides team-based care to more than 36,000 patients locally. The team employs some 35 health professionals at its more than 12 locations across our area. A lawyer and social worker by profession, Mike has been involved in the City's Business Retention and Expansion Project, Junior Achievement, and efforts to establish a community foundation in our area to fund gaps in local economic development. Mike serves on the Board of Governors of Fleming College, Chairs the Bobcaygeon Food Bank, and is a proud past member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves.
Kawartha Lakes This Week
Tracy Richardson has worked at Kawartha Lakes This Week for the past 23 years and has 28 years’ experience in the media environment, designing and implementing marketing plans and improving customer retention levels. Tracy is the Event Coordinator of Kawartha Lakes This Week’s Home and Wedding Shows which have become benchmark events for our area. Tracy’s greatest strengths focus on direct business development in marketing, advertising, strategic planning, client relationship management and customer service. Along with her position at the paper, she is also involved with their locally owned and operated business in Pontypool, Richardson Pineneedle Farms, which is a large grower and distributor of tree nursery stock. Tracy has been a resident of the area for 45 years and volunteers in the community, sits on many boards and is an active participant at local events, and proud advocate of the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce.
