Evening of Excellence Finalists Announced for Business & Community Awards

Lindsay: Eighteen businesses and individuals have been short listed for the annual awards program of the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce. Once again a record number of nominations were received for this year’s prestigious Evening of Excellence, a night celebrating individual and business achievements.
A total of thirty-three nominations were received in eight different categories with one award alone receiving seven nominations.
The Design Award, sponsored by the Business Development Bank of Canada has 3 finalists; Common Grounds Coffee House, Marchand & Cooper Optometrists and Shoppers Drug Mart
The Customer Experience Award, sponsored by RBC Financial has three finalists;
Denure Tours, Kawartha Lakes This Week, and Domino’s Pizza
The Young Entrepreneurial Award, sponsored by Community Futures Development Corporation has 2 finalists; Jeremy Plaunt, Water Depot and Jonathon Kaye, Domino’s Pizza
The Friend of Youth Award, sponsored by Crayola Canada has two finalists;
Mason Homes and Electric Electric
The Eco Star Award, sponsored by Cintas has three finalists; Mason Homes, Coconut Bunny Products and NP Media Solutions
The Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, sponsored by TD Commercial Bank has 3 finalists; Common Grounds Coffee House, Coconut Bunny Products and Lindsay Dance Studio.
The final categories are Business Leader of the Year, sponsored by Canadian Tire Lindsay and Citizen of the Year, sponsored by Farmer’s Mutual Insurance Company. The nominees in these categories are not revealed. Only the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, along with the other award winners, on Friday, March 28th at the Academy Theatre.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be shared with The Academy Theatre. Tickets will be $65.00 (a $25 tax receipt will be issued) and are available at the Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce or by calling 324-2393.
