As part of getting to know the membership, Christine has put together a very brief survey. I would encourage you to take the time to participate as the responses are part of the information we seek to strengthen the Chamber and its services offered to your business and future members.

Exciting things are happening with the Chamber this fall. In the next few weeks you will receive information on the new tiered membership package that offers your organization CHOICE of services and investment to the Chamber. Please note that there are defined timelines to choosing your levels, so keep an eye to your email for more details.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact myself, or Christine Baily.

COK_CollageThe cars rolled in and the people followed for the 10th Annual Classics on Kent Car Show, despite the rain!

Rain poured from the sky onto classic car owners Sunday, July 13th, 2014 at the start of the 10th Annual Classics on Kent Car Show. They braved the weather, lined Kent Street in Downtown Lindsay and took cover under awnings, in doorways and large umbrellas until the storm subsided around 12:30 p.m. As the sun shone, residents and visitors came out of the woodwork to scope out the freshly washed cars. And although many car owners weren’t thrilled with the natural car wash, they immediately began wiping down their precious classic vehicles.

A show highlight was a 1953 Mercury Meteor Mainline with its' unique chameleon paint finish, owned by Stan Walker from Barrie, Ontario. Stan and his wife Bonnie won the Best Kustom 1900-1965 Category sponsored by AMSOIL, they were also thrilled to accept the Presenting Sponsor Award from A&W Lindsay’s Patrick Proulx.

The Driver’s Choice Award was presented to Ed Bartlett from Bobcaygeon for his 1961 Chevrolet Corvair Rampside. This unique vehicle was an amazing crowd pleaser.
The 10th Annual Show was a bit smaller in numbers, but the quality of cars was second to none. The Lindsay & District Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all the owners for braving the weather, the sponsors for their continued support and of course the attendees.

Watch the for the 2015 date to be released soon!
